What is Wharton’s Jelly?

Wharton’s Jelly is donated for use after the birth of a healthy baby through a safe and hygienic collection process. So what is Wharton’s Jelly? Within the umbilical cord, Wharton’s Jelly serves to protect the umbilical cord vessels, and when the baby is born the structure of Wharton’s Jelly changes as a result of the temperature and acts like a clamping action on the umbilical cord, slowing the flow of blood – this happens naturally about five minutes after the birth of the child.

What Are the Benefits of Cord Blood Tissues, like Wharton’s Jelly?
