The Regenerative Power That Lies Within Your Bones

When you’re suffering from arthritis pain or it’s taking longer than you expected to recover from an injury, you may find it hard to believe that your body has everything it needs to repair your diseased or damaged tissue and alleviate your discomfort.

Your body is filled with proteins, growth factors, and specialized cells that repair and regenerate tissue. Unfortunately, your natural regenerative powers decrease as the injury gets older, resulting in injuries that may take longer to heal and lead to chronic pain.

Dedicated to helping you live a life free of pain and disability, Dr. Pallavi Cherukupally and the regenerative medicine specialists at Regenerative Sport, Spine and Spa in Orlando, Florida, use your body’s natural healing powers to repair damaged tissue, regenerate healthy cells, and alleviate discomfort. This includes the cells found in your bone marrow.

The many functions of bone marrow

In addition to providing support and mobility, your bones are also home to a spongy substance known as bone marrow. Found in the center of your bones, bone marrow provides the raw materials your body needs for the production of many specialized cells.

More specifically, your bone marrow is a source of hematopoietic cells and mesenchymal stem cells. These cells are the blank cells in your body that have the ability to transform into specialized cells.

The hematopoietic cells transform into red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets, which are needed for the transportation of oxygen to all the tissues in your body, fighting off infection, and wound healing.

The mesenchymal stem cells have the ability to create many specialized cells, including bone cells, muscle cells, and cartilage cells.

The regenerative power within your bones

Though your body has the ability to regenerate new, healthy cells to replace diseased or damaged cells, the process may not be as efficient or effective as you’d like. Your body may not be able to get the healing cells to the site of your injury.

We understand the many barriers you face when it comes to healing diseased or damaged tissue. And, like you, we find it frustrating that your body isn’t able to utilize its own natural sources to relieve pain, restore function, and get you back to doing the things you love. To give you and your body all the support it needs, we specialize in bone marrow cellular therapy.

We use the regenerative healing cells found in your bone marrow to treat many conditions, including:

Our regenerative medicine treatments may reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation, and accelerate your healing time. They may also prevent your need for surgery.

Bone marrow and healing

For your cell treatments, we perform all the steps at the office. First, we perform a minimally invasive procedure, referred to as bone marrow aspirate (BMA), to extract the bone marrow from your bones using a needle and syringe. To ease discomfort, we perform the procedure using local anesthesia and a twilight sedation.

We then filter the BMA to create a liquid that has a high concentration of the healing cells, which we inject directly into the site of your pain or injury.

To learn more about the regenerative power that lies within your bones and how it can relieve your pain, promote healing, and improve your quality of life, contact us by calling the office or requesting an appointment online today.
